BOLTON SOCIALIST CLUB - WE'RE STILL HERE! 1986 -2005
Since it re-opened in 1986, the club has been run entirely by voluntary labour and controlled by a democratically elected committee. Below are some of the many events, campaigns, and activities instigated or supported by Bolton Socialist Club over the last twenty years. In addition the club holds regular educational talks, acts as a meeting place for a wide range of different organisations, puts on social and cultural events, music evenings, walks and rambles, and provides a place where socialists and radically-minded people can meet informally in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Police eventually stopped the march due to overwhelming local opposition.
